The placement of this windshield allows for wind to blow through cab but then blocks the sand, mud, or rocks sliding up over the hood. The RZR Windshield is made of ¼ inch Lexan. This thermoplastic polymer maintains glass-like clarity and permits transmission of light while eliminating the fragility and shatter possibility that accompanies glass. The half windshield latches on & off in seconds and provides a little extra protection from anything maneuvering over the hood.
